A 21-year-old resident of Uddevalla is currently facing legal repercussions for operating a vehicle without adequately clearing the windows, leading to reduced visibility, particularly due to snow accumulation. The incident transpired in mid-February when law enforcement stopped the individual, citing his driving behavior as “traffic-dangerous,” as outlined in the indictment from Uddevalla district court.

Upon inspection, police officers noted that the man had neglected to clear the snow from the car windows, resulting in compromised visibility. The legal proceedings assert that the 21-year-old “created a hazardous traffic situation by consciously taking a risk or otherwise severely failing to exercise the attention and caution necessary under the circumstances to mitigate the risks of a traffic accident.”

Despite the allegations, the accused vehemently denies any wrongdoing, and the case is slated for deliberation in Uddevalla District Court in early March.

The prosecuting attorney is seeking 40 daily fines, each amounting to SEK 310, totaling SEK 12,400 for the 21-year-old defendant.
