Postnord letter deliveries are set to experience delays in certain regions

Postnord is currently implementing a series of changes, which means that letter collection and delivery will be slower.

Postnord is set to implement a series of changes during 2024, significantly impacting Swedes’ ability to send letters and parcels. On Monday, March 4, Postnord introduced another change. Areas with “low parcel volumes and large geographical distances” will experience less frequent parcel distribution.

In the future, deliveries will take place every other day in connection with mail delivery. However, that’s not the only change introduced on Monday. Postnord will also reduce the frequency of emptying the yellow mailboxes, as mentioned in their statement.

The mailboxes will now be emptied every other working day, in conjunction with mail being delivered to that postcode.

On the other hand, mailboxes at agents will be emptied daily in the future as well.

“The goal is to reduce the costs of providing universal postal service and to minimize the environmental impact,” states Postnord in a press release.
