As Sweden moves towards joining NATO, contingent upon the acceptance of inclusion by Turkey and Hungary, changes are anticipated in the country’s security system. Once Sweden becomes a NATO member, specific demands and requirements from the organization will come into effect. These changes may involve equipping the Swedish forces with advanced high-tech weapons and deploying them on overseas missions, while NATO forces could potentially be stationed in Sweden.

Although there is no explicit demand for it, the deployment of NATO’s nuclear arsenal in Sweden is a possibility that cannot be ruled out. It is important to note that NATO does not possess its own nuclear weapons; any considered for deployment would be from the United States. Currently, the United States stores approximately 100 tactical nuclear weapons in Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Turkey.

The recent government statements declaring Sweden to be at war have caused panic among the population, particularly among the youth who have not experienced war in the country before. The news has left them traumatized.
